MODULE 1: VIDEO MARKETING
SECTION 2: DIFFERENT TYPES OF VIDEOS YOU CAN USE IN VIDEO MARKETING
Hello there!
We’re back!
Hope you had an opportunity to digest some of the stuff you learned in the last section, like why video marketing is so important, and how and why you should use it to grow your business and how it can get more attention and more leads.
We also told you about Video Marketing best practices and some of the things to keep in mind when planning out your video marketing campaign.
Let’s do a quick review:
- Video is one of the least expensive ways to market your business.
- Video marketing is one of the easiest and quickest ways to market your business.
- Video consumption by consumers is HUGE and growing. The numbers, stats and vitals just show it all!
This week we will be focusing on what kind of videos are best to create for your business or brand.
We’ll be learning about all the different types of video marketing you can use, and how you can effectively use them to your advantage.
Sounds exciting, right?!
READY to get started?
Then let’s DIVE into it!
The most important thing about video marketing is its content. How well do you incorporate your goal and story into your content? Which type of content will appeal best to your target market, and fit your brands current goals? For you to understand this well, you need to know what video and content creation options are available.
The Different Types and Styles of Videos
How each kind of video impacts your marketing and sales depends primarily on your video content types and strategy.
- By 2021, the average person will spend 100 minutes every day watching online videos (a 19% increase from 2019).
- 93% of companies claim they got a new customer because of their video content on social media
- 63% of businesses say that video gets the best return on investment (ROI) on social media.
If we are being honest, potential customers who have never worked with you don’t care either way about you or your business. What they do care about is what SOLUTIONS you can OFFER to help SOLVE THEIR PROBLEMS and ADD VALUE TO THEIR LIVES.
There are 3 main hooks an effective video needs to have, regardless of the type you choose.
Good videos should be all of the following:
- Informative Show off useful information, and possible solutions to customer’s potential problems. For instance, and informative how-to would be a good choice for current customers, and an informative case study might be helpful in educating potential customers. Showing off useful information, and possible solutions to your potential customer’s problems. If you are targeting potential customers, it usually pertains to a customer case study and if you are targeting current customers, it could be good how-to videos.
- Entertaining Who wants to watch a boring video? Not me! Your videos should have a high-entertainment value, and huge appeal, to attract as many people as possible. Any topic can be made fun in its presentation. This is the quality of a video that can make you stand out from the rest.
- Engaging Create a spark to spark a reaction! This gives off an inspirational quality that can usually play to your audience’s emotions and makes them want to interact with you further.
We get it - a basic internet search about types of marketing videos will bring up a lot - and I do mean A LOT - of different types of videos. So much so that it probably seems overwhelming.
And to be really honest with you, much of the advice you find online regarding marketing videos won’t be effective, customized or applicable to YOUR business, and you don’t want to waste that valuable time you could be spending proactively advancing your business. That’s why we recommended checking any suggested or planned video against the three main hooks - Be Informative. Be Entertaining. Be Engaging.
4 MAJOR TYPES OF VIDEO MARKETING YOU CAN CREATE
These 4 major types are videos that we see should always have, even as a back-up for every brand or business.
